Fifty-year-old McCoy just became the third person in Antigua and Barbuda to survive on ventilator support after being infected with the coronavirus disease.
Today, he was released from the Mount Saint John’s Medical Center to an outpouring of love and support from friends and family after being hospitalized for over two months.
McCoy was admitted to the hospital back in February this year after testing positive for the coronavirus.
While in hospital his condition deteriorated considerably which saw the father of one needing ventilator support throughout his ordeal.
He’s thankful to God, family, friends and the team at the hospital who cared for him diligently.

Thankful to God indeed.
All the best. Kudos to all who played a part in his care and recovery.
This is a very good story. All is well that ends well.
Look at this feel good story that we should all be celebrating!! A man is alive and improving. A family is happy and thankful.
Two single comments. Two. No praise for the doctors and nurses who looked after him. No praise for the Almighty who was merciful! Yet Gemma Handy and her work permit not being renewed gets 30 something comments.
Father God LORD help this country and these people!
