Antiguan Hair Care Consultant speaks in South Korea

A son of Antigua and Barbuda, Dr. Dave Ray, Hair Care Consultant & Clinical Trichologist, is at present in South Korea for a three-day trip, where he was invited by the KITA business group to address the attendees of the annual business meeting. He is speaking on the significant and unique differences of African American skin and hair types, considering both phenotypes and genotypes, eumelanin levels and nutrition, based on demographics.

KITA brings together manufacturers of food items and high end hair & beauty care products with research & development companies and new target markets.

It is forecasted that by the year, 2035, the beauty industry of first world countries will recognize blended races as the majority group. In that vein, general market manufacturers are gearing up to take advantage of the new income prospects from the global texture marketplace.

The participants came from the host country, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Russia, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan and Dr. Ray, CEO of “Beauty Werkz” and the owner of several hair salons, is the only participant from the USA. With approximately 40 persons in attendance, there were three facilitators, to include the host, Mr. Kim Kyung-Yong, CEO of KITA.

Ray also received many gifts of appreciation for his in-depth contribution to exclusive event.

He has since been invited to speak in London June 21 -22, Madrid, August 13 – 14 and Chicago September 24 – 26, 2018 where similar types meetings will be held.

“I made it my business to promote my country of origin, Antigua and Barbuda, using a short PowerPoint presentation, as an ideal tourist destination”, Ray said.

He returns to New York on Sunday.

  2. I was not representing Antigua, sir. I was representing the US. Antigua had no stats or data on African American hair and skin types. Read the article and see how I was be to position Antigua in this matter. And why are you so concerned about whom I represent? The cost does not affect you one bit.
