Congratulation Maliek. We often focus on the track, but we are now seeing some outstanding performances in the field events lately by these youngsters.
I do hope Daryl and his ministry provides you with everything necessary to get you to the highest heights instead of just congratulations and leave it there.
The youth will require a number of javelin and am talking about the ones that cost real money, this will surely get him to where he belongs quickly.
We have Carifta which is mostly focused on the youths, but I often wondered why not the West Indies Games? Maybe every two or three years, something like the Olympics with the same high priced Medals but just us. With every island sending their best, no qualifying times, we have all the categorical meets then go from there.
Yes Jamaica and Bahamas will come out on top, but this will be a big push for other islands and athletes who sees the Olympics as the ultimate goal. We do the opening march pass and closing celebrations etc, just saying.
A great job Malik… You have made the entire nation proud. Your natural ability will make you a force to reckon with on the world stage. Go for it!!
