Cabinet Notes: The Minister of Health reported that nine (9) patients are being actively treated for Covid-19 infection at this time.

The source of the cases has been identified so that there is no “community spread”. The Minister explained that while there has been some “domestic spread”, it has been confined by placing more than 100 persons in quarantine, testing them for Covid-19, and finding the small number of positive cases.

The Minister informed that the Chief Medical Officer has written to the US Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informing that Antigua and Barbuda falls below the threshold which the CDC has established to declare Antigua, like the other OECS countries, well within the lowest category of the infectious disease.

Travelers of foreign nationality only (NOT US Citizens) arriving from high risk states are required to quarantine upon arrival on international flights at JFK Airport. US citizens traveling to the New York airport are exempted.

  1. You believe you can fool the feds? They have an idea of how many people are infected than the Antiguan public knows.

  2. Wtf would antigua give a flying ef about the USA’s travel advisory? We all knows that they have the highest cases of covid-19 in the world. I know this country depends on tourism but are you willing to give up your safety and health for money? If so, why?
