Antigua sends high-ranking official to Nigeria to meet with officials from Air Peace

CABINET NOTES:

The Development Commissioner, who traveled to Nigeria to meet with the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, was invited by the Cabinet to share his findings as pertains to the investment which may be made in LIAT by this largest of Nigeria’s airlines.

Negotiations continue as the Gaston Browne administration seeks to find new partners to turn LIAT into a profitable firm which also provides connectivity to the Eastern Caribbean island-countries and people.

The absence of a full-service LIAT has caused travel throughout the region to be erratic and insufficient.

LIAT is sorely missed. Every effort is being made by Antigua and Barbuda to cause LIAT to fulfil its mission of keeping Caribbean peoples connected.

  1. Why is the PM and hid lemmings thinking that another Nigerian airline will help LIAT? That is bullshit! No one has ever heard of this airline. This is another scam. It is sad that the people here can do nothing but sit back and watch one failure after another.
Have you wondered why he has not approached widely known successful airlines for Help?
Well folks…it is allegedly because they will not put money and lifetime perks like free first class family travel, in his back pocket. And he is a dunderhead…laughing stock at Virgin Atlantic.

  2. Air peace is the worst airline in Africa .cancel flights and poor customer services .they have there own problems.why focus on liat.we never learn .I would be happy if it’s Ethiopian or south African airways.years of experience not no fly by night low budget carrier with the worst track record in Africa .

  3. It’s a good development. Air peace is West Africa’s biggest airline and has the capacity to do the job.

  4. Airpeace will definitely be a trusted ally to LIAT. There is no airline that does not have its own challenges. So Antigua govt should give Airpeace the opportunity to prove it’s efficiency.

  5. We need liat for the best of flight in the Caribbean. Thanks for the pm effort for the best for the Caribbean people.

  6. Good job, Gaston. Our country has such a small budget and resources compared to so many other countries. I’m glad to see Gaston doing his best and hope to see a good outcome.
