Antigua Sending water to St. Vincent

Antigua and Barbuda is sending water to St. Vincent in addition to receiving evacuees.

The twin island state will this evening be sending a 40 foot container of potable water to the beleaguered country.

That’s according to NODS Director Philmore Mullin.

This aid is compliments LIONS and its partners.

Last week, Prime Minister Gaston Browne received a call from his Vincentian counterpart, Honourable Ralph Gonsalves, during the late afternoon when Cabinet was in session.

Antigua and Barbuda is also prepared to ship items to St. Vincent in the event populations gather in stadiums and on playfields, and are in need of tents, blankets, cots, packaged food, and tablets to purify water.

Antigua and Barbuda’s Cabinet offered to accommodate 250 persons if evacuation is ordered. Whereupon, the Director of NODS, the Chief Immigration Officer, the Head of the EMS, and the Manager of the Jolly Beach Hotel were invited to Cabinet.

A plan to accommodate 250 Vincentians, fleeing the volcano, was immediately worked-out.

  1. @Ellie
    Are you for real?
    Are you human?
How cold can you be, man!?!?!?
Is this how messed up your heart is?

  2. People be understanding and support the gesture of the government. A government agency is the coordinator but it is really a donation from a goodwill body.

  3. HEH COIN DADADLY are you an automated machine you keep repeating the same line over and over. Don’t be so damn stuckup you know what they trying to say about the water . No one is against sending water was gonna make a similar statement

  4. OK. let’s get a grip here.
Water? We sending water to St Vincent? None in the pipes and the people can’t afford to buy the bottle water, and NODS not giving out water to those who can’t afford to buy, but we sending water to St Vincent? A Windward island surrounded by other Windward islands with plenty of water?
Sure they told you to send them some water? I am sure that Antigua sending water to St Vincent is the biggest laugh in the region.
Mullin, you need to move and let the younger, brighter man you have there take over. You blew it. Time for you to go. Stop holding on. Thank you for your service. But go, now, please.
