Antigua Man Steals Stolen Police Evidence, Lands 7-Month Sentence

1

Jahson Martin has been sentenced to seven months in prison for admitting to stealing items that were initially stolen and held at a police station for investigative purposes.

The bizarre sequence of events unfolded when a truck loaded with suspected stolen goods was itself stolen from Langford’s Police Station during the weekend of August 26.

Initially reported by a senior police officer who had construction materials stolen from his work site, officers discovered these items at a different location on August 22.

The stolen truck was later found in Bolans, and some of the materials were traced to Martin’s residence, resulting in his guilty plea and subsequent prison sentence.
