Antigua Inks Deal with U.S. Firm for water production

The government has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an unnamed American company to expand two APUA-managed Reverse Osmosis Plants, Ivan Rodrigues and Ffryes. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATS APP GROUP

Ambassador Lionel ‘Max’ Hurst confirmed the agreement, emphasizing its non-binding nature.

Before Cabinet consideration, the MoU requires review by the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

Utilities Minister Melford Nicholas aims for a 50% increase in water production to address a projected need of 12 million gallons per day by the first quarter of the next year.

  4. How this Gaston Browne led cabal epitomizes secrecy and underhanded dealings! To hear the idiot even use the word transparency is laughable. The man is not trustworthy. The failure to name the alleged investor is a common feature with this clown as well as his infamous MOE’S.

    50% increase my arse..you don’t even have the common courtesy to inform the voters where their money and with whom it’s being spent so the public can do their own research on the company, but here you are promising 50% increase in water 💦 production!!

    Yes I’m a absolute pessimist when it comes to this current administration, because I’ve seen their works, and it’s nothing to be optimistic about, nothing.

    Just a bag of big talks and not a damn thing to show for it. It’s like trusting your pet snake only to wake up one morning and that same snake is stretched out next to you sizing up your arse!

This just only reconfirm white stereotypes about black people and so call ability to manage anything, with our own ocean and as many as five reverse osmosis plants put into our hands we are crying oh white savior! come and save us please! We can’t manage. An insult to all the black intellectualism of our country, and the millennials are just interested in more fete and weed and music fed to them by Gaston. But water a necessity of life we can’t provide our self with, suppose the white world was depending on us to manufacture a reverse osmosis plant.

  9. This time last year we were being sold on the miracle of osmosis plants and how the water supply would be increased. A company from Barbados was supposed to repair the corroding pipes. Now this plan is a 180 degree departure without giving us an update on what happened with the previous plans. Bunch of crooks dem be.

  10. Non-Binding MOUs do not have any legal weight.Let us wait,watch and see what happens.For the information coming from Max Wurst is not always on point.It zigs and zags down a straight lane.
