Antigua hosts CARICOM IMPACS Extraordinary Meeting

Antigua and Barbuda through the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour hosted the CARICOM Implementation Agency for Crime and Security’s (IMPACS) Extraordinary Meeting of the CARICOM Security Management Committee (CSMC) from November 2 to 3.

The CARICOM Security Management Committee (CSMC) is a sub-committee of the Security Policy Advisory Committee (SEPAC), which advises the Council of Ministers responsible for National Security and Law Enforcement (CONSLE) on various issues such as governance in the development of the work programme and budget for the CARICOM crime and security agenda.

At this meeting Permanent Secretaries from five of the seven member countries of the CSMC met with the objective of discussing financial and administrative matters related to CARICOM IMPACS.

The two-day meeting took place at the Heritage Hotel Conference Room and was attended by representatives from Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana and St Kitts & Nevis.
