CARIB Brewery is expected to begin brewing beer and other beverages in Antigua following an agreement between the company and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
Minister of Trade E. P. Chet Greene and Chief Executive Officer of Carib Brewery, Peter Hall signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today paving the way for the company to establish a branch of its regional operations here.
The company will take over the old Antigua Brewery facility and construction work is set to begin in the second quarter of this year.
Hall said the company is investing USD $20 million in the project, which is expected to create some 60 new jobs for locals.
