Antigua Cruise Port Unveils New Terminal for Seamless Cruise Passenger Processing

1

Antigua Cruise Port is beginning construction on a new terminal at St. Harbour, scheduled to start processing cruise passengers in May.

Operations Manager Rawle Reynolds emphasized the terminal’s importance, especially with the focus on home-porting in cruise tourism.

The terminal, located adjacent to the 5th Berth pier on Newgate Street but not on the pier itself, will allow cruise passengers easy access for processing.

It resembles an airport terminal and will handle passengers arriving or departing on cruise ships, including vessels like Arvia from P&O Cruises.

Mr. Reynolds mentioned that the terminal will accommodate thousands of passengers during visits, with border control officers overseeing immigration and customs processes. Previously, these activities occurred in a large tent during the past two seasons, but a permanent structure is now needed.
