Antigua Barbuda Scouts attend International Gathering

Three Antigua and Barbudans are presently attending the 24th World Scout Jamboree (WSJ), hosted in West Virginia, USA.

The event is one of the largest gatherings of Scouts from all corners of the world
and is held every four years in a different host country.

The Antiguan contingent comprises Kimberly Abbott, Jodele Hodge and Kenny Richards
as the Caribbean Patrol Leader attached to Unit 100. Over the next few days the Scouts
will continue to build new friendships and participate in activities and adventures that
foster leadership and cultural understanding.

The 24th World Scout Jamboree commenced on July 22 is being held under the theme
“Unlock a new world”. The event will culminate on August 2.

Worldwide Scouting has 40 million members both male and female and operates in
nearly every country in the world.
