Antigua and Barbuda’s Third Medal at the CARIFTA Games – Silver for Geolyna Dowdie in U20 Girls 100m

Antigua and Barbuda secured its third medal at the 2025 CARIFTA Games as Geolyna “GG” Dowdie sprinted to Silver in the Girls Under-20 100m final. Her standout performance adds to the nation’s growing success on the regional athletics stage.

Dowdie’s podium finish follows Tyra Fenton’s Gold in the Girls U17 400m (53.93 seconds) and Raniqúe Richards’ Bronze in the Girls U17 category—bringing pride and momentum to Team 268.

  3. That’s my girl! A little bit harder on top speed and you could have held off the JA youth. Congratulations Ms Dowdye, always like your stride and arm movement, keep pushing and big things will come, we had bronze now we pop the silver, progress/progress the gold will be next.
With this team we should be able to make up a few relay squad, let’s do it.
