  1. Am I reading this to mean that a fully vaccinated returning national will not be allowed to go to their home? Nor have fully vaccinated family visiting them?

    • @VickiBullet. Yes. Regardless of their test results or vaccination status returning nationals or relatives visiting their Antiguan families will no longer be permitted to stay at their family homes. Instead, if they are allowed to come at all, they’ll have to stay in a ‘bio-certified’ hotel just like the tourists and pay for the privilege. This will render most family visits impossible. Presumably, however, unlike the (mainly white) tourists, returning nationals will still be expected to quarantine. For if not, that would defeat the supposed purpose of the rule changes. it’s is all ill considered nonsense, and two-tier nonsense at that, to be be polite. Differential treatment. It comes to something when a government is prepared to discriminate against it’s own nationals so blatantly. There has to be a better way than this.

As it stands, PM moustache is bought and paid for by foreign hoteliers and property interests.

    • Read this https://visitantiguabarbuda.com/wp-content/uploads/17-September-2021-Travel-Advisory-1.pdf. It has the full Travel Advisory and sections 5 and 6 cover the question of returning nationals…
      5. Fully vaccinated returning nationals and residents who can present verifiable
documentation that they have received both doses of a WHO or MOHWE
approved 2-dose COVID 19 vaccine or one dose of a single dose COVID 19
vaccine and have a COVID-I9 RT-PCR negative test result will not be
required to quarantine. At least two (2) weeks must have passed since the
administration of the FULL vaccine dosage.
      6. Partially vaccinated returning nationals and residents will be required to
quarantine as determined by the Quarantine Authority, or in exceptional
cases determined by Port Heatth Officials to utilize the rooms available at the
      former U.S. Base at Coolidge.

  4. “Nobody will travel to Antigua/Barbuda then.”
Quite the opposite in my opinion, this is just what was needed to done.I booked myself and my families tickets yesterday.
Get jabbed and stay safe and stay out of hospital.

  5. I don’t know about the politics of the islands but the restrictions Seem pretty straight forward to me and no different to any other country in the region. It is what it is. It won’t stop people visiting, but may protect everyone a little.

  6. Covid-19 certified businesses? Bio-safe hotels?

Laughable. I hope someone let the virus know not to infect anyone in these special places

  7. So if a national of antigu and barbuda returns on a flight with a negative test but has not taken the shot, they won’t be allowed in the country unless they are sent to a government quarantine facility, suppose they can’t pay for that stay, what happens? There are two options, its either the shor or be tested, So if your test says negative as those that are already here why aren’t they allowed to go home? Or those that are here should also be sent to a quarantine facility. Why the double standard.
