Antigua and Barbuda’s rising Calypso sensation, Ge’Eve Phillip, represented her island in the Queen of Caribbean Calypso Crown competition in Montserrat.
Despite not clinching the title, Phillip’s exceptional performance showcased her passion and talent.
Handpicked by the National Festivals Commission, she joined talented female Calypso singers from across the Caribbean.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Terri Lyons secured the crown with an impressive score of 820 points, followed by Tiny from the same nation.
The event featured artists from various Caribbean islands, delivering unforgettable performances in the 2023 Regional Female Calypso Competition.

Obviously, and as usual, they forgot to mention that the show was backed by our own “Sweet Benna” band led by the great Rupert Edwards. I am sure they will be paid by the Mratt Festival Commission although they are still not paid for last carnival’s performance and n Antigua.
