Antigua and Barbuda Signs New Cooperation Roadmap with Morocco
Antigua and Barbuda has strengthened its bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Morocco through the signing of a new Cooperation Roadmap for 2024-2026. Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. E.P. Chet Greene finalized the agreement with Moroccan Foreign Minister Hon. Nasser Bourita during a meeting in Rabat, Morocco’s capital.
The roadmap will support the Centre of Excellence and Data Hub in Antigua and Barbuda, a notable initiative that emerged from the recent SIDS4 Conference. Additionally, it will expand scholarship opportunities for Antiguans and Barbudans in Moroccan institutions, facilitate official learning visits to Morocco, and promote investment in sectors prioritized by Antigua and Barbuda.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, Minister Greene noted that the agreement will drive collaborations in education, technical cooperation, fertilizer and soil enhancement, economic promotion, investment, cultural exchange, and civil society engagement.
