Antigua and Barbuda is once again being showcased at one of the premier global tourism business events World Travel Market (WTM) taking place in Excel London from November 6th to 8th.
The World Travel Market is one of the leading events for networking and collaboration within the travel sector, offering partners the opportunity to build new connections and update the industry on new products and plans for the future.
The delegation comprises Tourism Minister the Hon. Charles Fernandez, ABTA CEO Mr. Colin C. James, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the ABTA Mr. Alan Hosam, Head of Communications for the Ministry of Tourism Samoya Kirby, Tourism Astronaut Ambassadors Keisha Schahaff and Anastatia Mayers.
As a pre WTM event the delegation attended the British Guild of Travel Writers Gala last evening (SUN).
The guild is the UK’s leading membership organization for travel media with 250+ top tier travel writers, authors, photographers, bloggers and broadcasters.
So far for Day 1, meetings and interviews have been held with tour operators such as TUI, British Airways Holidays, Kenwood Travel, Carib Tours, Best at Travel and Elegant Resorts, Steve Hartridge and TTG.

I’ve said that nepotism in Antigua has been detrimental to economic growth and progress. Obtaining a high profile job because of being related to someone is just plain wrong and shown to be destructive.
I’ve read that in some Boroughs in the United Kingdom, that when you fill in any job applications, you must declare if you have any close relatives working there as well.
These Boroughs in the UK know that fraud can be covered up to protect relatives, auditing/documentation can be hidden or mysteriously disappear; and openness and transparency easily kept away from public scrutiny.
One of the main reasons for Antigua’s stagnation.
NEPOTISM CAN BE CANCEROUS TO THOROUGH INSPECTION, INQUIRY AND INVESTIGATION.
Massa great grand children went over to the other side of the pond to sit , eat and drink to then encourage massa great grand children to come over so you black folks can serve them.
