Antigua and Barbuda plans to phase out paper-based Embarkation/Disembarkation forms to streamline entry procedures, particularly at VC Bird International Airport.
Tourism Minister Charles Max Fernandez revealed a plan to introduce a self-clearance system and kiosks, aiming to launch it during the Small Islands Developing States (SIDS) conference in late May.
To address peak times, additional stations with more immigration officers will be implemented.
The government is collaborating with Canadian Bank Notes to develop the new system, though clearance of outstanding amounts owed to the company is necessary before progress can be made, as assured by Fernandez.
