Antigua and Barbuda Residents must wait Nearly Two Years for US Embassy Announcement

REAL NEWS: A United States Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda is highly anticipated by many residents, but they will have to wait nearly two years, according to an official.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne had expected a decision to be made shortly after the US State Department announced the likelihood of two embassies being established in the Eastern Caribbean.

However, Linda Taglialatela, the United States Ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, revealed that the decision will take approximately 18 months.

The disclosure was made during a reception held at Jumby Bay on July 12, organized by the US Embassy to celebrate America’s independence, causing speculation among the audience regarding an announcement on the matter.

Other governments in the Eastern Caribbean are also eager to learn where the two new US embassies will be located.

Antigua and Barbuda had previously housed a US Embassy, which was later moved to Barbados.

If the Embassy were to return to Antigua and Barbuda, it would provide a more economically feasible and convenient visa application process for residents, according to Senator Shawn Nicholas of the United Progressive Party.

When it comes to talking shit and trashing other humans. ” u guys” take the cake

    • That will surely take the US Government steps closer to the Accused and Odebretch and the Condominium in Florida. Careful what you wish for.

  1. Antigua and Barbuda residents were highly anticipating an announcement of the US Consulates location.
My advice, don’t listen to Gaston and the local news which carries his pronouncements.
Stay informed through credible sources: Be aware and informed that Biden was in England recently at a time of a big debate about Chinese spying in the UK.
The US recently accused Cuba of them allowing Cuba to be used as a spying station
The Chinese Government has placed a gigantic building in Antigua, with rumors of a five level underground bunker.
Microsoft just accused the Chinese Government of hacking into the US State Department computers. Embassies fall under the US State Department.
Wake up and smell the coffee…. you all!
Never say never: but Antigua getting one of the US Embassy is unlikely.

  2. Gassy was FARTING BULLSHIT to y’all…and y’all chose to smell it and believe it.
I posted weeks ago that there was NO WAY the US would consider an embassy in AB, because of this blatently corrupt government!
I feel badly for residents who have to face expensive travel to Barbados.
VOTE OUT Gassy in the next election, and you will get your US Embassy.
