Antigua and Barbuda records three new cases of COVID-19

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the  Mount St. John Medical Centre (MSJMC) has revealed three (3) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Wednesday 24th March 2021 at 6pm.

 

 

These new cases were as a result of one hundred and twenty-five (125) samples processed by MSJMC.

 

 

Five (5) recovered cases have been recorded bringing the total to seven hundred and forty-eight (748).

 

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand one thousand and three (1103); which is inclusive of three hundred and twenty-seven (327) active cases.

 

 

Meanwhile, two hundred and seventy-four (274) Covid-19 vaccines were administered since the last publication increasing the total number of individuals vaccinated to  twenty five thousand nine hundred and sixty-one (25,961).

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  2. You are still VACCINATING?
    CMO has made it clear insufficient stock remains to administer second dose to all who have received first AstraZeneca jab. She & others told Cabinet to stop at 20,000 to ensure second dose was on hand, here in A&B. PM thought differently.

    Serum Institute of India have temporarily suspended exports as need millions of vaccines in India – they ‘imagine’ to recommence exporting in May but say it is difficult to state categorically at this time.
    UK, Canada & many others waiting on deliveries in addition to COVAX.
    USA using ALL USA manufactured vaccines domestically & not exporting.
    Dr. John mentioned the inability to source scale of vaccines we need on ABS a few weeks back. It’s not new news.

    WE waiting on the red beret leader to work magic and have the required Serum Institute doses on island before 21 May.
