Antigua and Barbuda Joins Ranks of Caribbean’s Wealthiest Nations

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA – Antigua and Barbuda has been ranked among the seven richest countries in the Caribbean, placing sixth with a GDP per capita of US$18,745 in 2024.

The ranking, compiled from recent economic data by Global Citizen Solutions, Mirabello Consultant, and Best Citizenship, highlights the nation’s growing appeal to affluent travelers and investors through its Citizenship by Investment Programme and robust tourism industry.

Topping the list is Bermuda, with a staggering GDP per capita of over US$120,000, followed by the Cayman Islands at over US$85,000.

The Bahamas (US$32,000) and the US Virgin Islands (US$30,000) also ranked ahead, benefiting from strong financial sectors and high-end tourism.

St. Kitts and Nevis, at US$20,000, edged out Antigua and Barbuda slightly, thanks in part to similar tax-friendly policies and tourism-driven revenue.

Despite trailing the top five, Antigua and Barbuda remains one of the most accessible Caribbean nations for high-net-worth individuals seeking second citizenship.

The country’s visa-free travel incentives and investor-friendly environment have drawn considerable capital inflows. St. Lucia rounds out the list with a GDP per capita of US$15,000, making Antigua and Barbuda notably stronger in comparison.

With no personal income or wealth taxes and continued investment in upscale resorts and services, Antigua and Barbuda continues to blend natural beauty with economic opportunity, securing its status as a destination where luxury and prosperity converge.

  1. Yet the cry of our so-called better-off masses is “I’m sooo poor” The hair and nail salons continue to thrive, however, Syrian and Chinese- controlled food outlets, supermarkets and tyre shops are never empty, Easter weekend travel figures are at an all time high, new/used cars appear on our roads daily, restaurants, including the expensive ones are not complaining and the list goes on and on. But Antiguans and Barbudans, being who and what we have become, and being further diluted and corrupted via genetic degradation through indiscriminate interaction with outsiders, have
really become a miserable , beg-beg society of loafers and complainants perfectly predisposed to any and all wicked people and organizations who see us as an easy passport to wealth and fame. NO! We are very poor indeed!!!

  2. Who determine the accuracy of this list, are there any reliable sources have they talk to the people of Antigua,or are they talking to all the criminals that’s running from their own country to use Antigua and Antigua passport as a hiding ground. Speak to the people of Antigua and Barbudan to see how they’re living ,nurses are not been paid, teachers that are needed in order to have Antigua next generation been shape and change our society are dissatisfied and will not show up to teach our children. Workers go months without pay, even though these criminals are buying Antigua citizenship Antigua the country are not seeing the money. Antiguans are Rich in Spirit not in material possession so how can Antigua the Country be the richest in the Caribbean
They need to learn how to be the crazies deferring everyone from coming to their country.
