Antigua and Barbuda Ranks 5th in Caribbean Passport Power, Globally Positioned at 2024 Henley Index

In the 2024 Henley Passport Index, Antigua and Barbuda’s passport ranks 5th in the Caribbean, providing visa-free access to 153 countries worldwide. Barbados holds the top spot, followed by the Bahamas and St Kitts and Nevis. St Vincent and the Grenadines secures the 4th position.

Other Caribbean rankings include Trinidad and Tobago (6), Grenada (7), St Lucia (8), and Dominica (9), with Belize at 10th place.

Globally, six countries, namely France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Singapore, share the top position with visa-free access to 194 destinations. The International Air Transport Association supplies the data for the rankings.

Afghanistan holds the weakest passport globally, standing at 104th place with visa-free access to 28 destinations. The Henley Passport Index, covering 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, prides itself as the most authoritative ranking based on the number of destinations accessible without a prior visa.

  1. Very interesting statistic. Those of us in business who may want to expand or sell up, will look into those CARICOM countries that’ll benefit us.

    Barbados, St Kitt’s & Nevis and St Vincent and the Grenadines seems a good punt if Prime Minister Browne doesn’t give Antiguans favourable options and incentives.
