This statement came in response to Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle’s repeated inquiries about the legal framework for extraditing a Chinese national, a topic previously addressed by the Prime Minister on radio two weeks ago.

During that radio announcement, PM Browne had acknowledged that any request from China for the extradition of a citizen under Antigua and Barbuda’s Citizenship by Investment Program (CIP),must follow due process.

In Parliament, Browne reiterated the lack of an extradition agreement and expressed frustration with Pringle for raising the question again.

“Mr. Speaker, it is inappropriate to discuss extradition specifics when there’s clearly no treaty in place, making such a request nonviable,” Browne stated, underscoring the necessity of logical and informed queries within the House.CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATS APP GROUP
