Antigua and Barbuda Delegation Attends Solemn Inauguration of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV

Their Excellencies Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, and Sandra, Lady Williams joined dignitaries from around the world in Vatican City for the official inauguration of the Pontificate of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.

The inauguration ceremony took place under radiant skies in Saint Peter’s Square, where thousands of guests gathered for the majestic Solemn Mass. In a display of reverent grandeur, the Pope celebrated the Mass facing the altar with the assembled diplomatic delegations positioned behind him. At one poignant moment, thunder rolled through the sky, marking the occasion amidst the warmth and brightness of a summer day in Rome.

The Antiguan and Barbudan delegation was among the first, following those of Nepal, the United States and Argentina, to be presented to His Holiness. Their Excellencies Sir Rodney and Lady Williams were warmly received by Pope Leo XIV, to whom they presented a symbolic gift on behalf of the Government and people of Antigua and Barbuda. The gift was accompanied by official compliments extended from the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda.

Their Excellencies commended Pope Leo XIV on his compassion and commitment to the poor and vulnerable, values that resonate deeply with the people of Antigua and Barbuda and mirror the pastoral focus of his predecessor, Pope Francis.

Accompanying Their Excellencies were His Excellency Sir David Shoul, Antigua and Barbuda’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Holy See; Joan Lady Shoul; and Mr. Brent Scotland, Political and Counselor Officer at Antigua and Barbuda’s High Commission to the United Kingdom.

Their Excellencies expressed their profound appreciation for the invitation to witness such a momentous occasion in the life of the Catholic Church and extended warm congratulations to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV on behalf of the people and Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

  1. Antigua and Barbuda was well represented. God bless the tenure of our newly installed Pope.🙏🏽✝️🇦🇬

  2. Leadership really matters. Best Representation Antigua has ever sent to such a high level gathering. Just like when our King was crowned.

  3. Antigua tax money very well spent. Chups! Can’t pay the teachers but paying for this nonsense that brings no value to Antigua.

  4. I am more concerned about the GGs step son being a part of the officual delegation at our cost. This is like Trump and his sons except that the US has a bottomless pit of money. Explain this for me.

  5. Attention Dave dat 🐂 poop Ray have you claimed your share of the billions of dollars paid out by the Vatican and their antiman popes of catholicism who have abused millions of humans mentally and physically for centuries? You do know that their actions of abuses are well documented in the courts. So when and where did you receive your hot irons which branded and bruised your ass?

  6. Some people are just nasty, worthless crap! Look at what depths they sink to just to show their vileness.
As for “money throw way”, this country does it every month paying teachers whose temperament, knowledge, and skill sets make more fit to work on a pig farm! Time to rise to at least surface level!

  7. Why put a picture there of Rodney as though the pope want see him, he is a former ALP politician enjoying his reward for subservience to Gaston and the neocolinial agenda, antigua tax payers will for him to go sight seeing. That’s why Gaston get support from his henchmen and upp turn coat be cause he finesse them.
