In all material cases, the Division is urging that such matters be reported to either the Division or to the relevant authority who would be in a position to either verify or investigate the calls or messages since such incidents are punishable by law in Antigua and Barbuda.

  1. What next are these scammers, phishers, online criminals going to try? Please people, as King Obstinate says, Use your head, your brains are in it. If one has not entered into a lottery, how then can one ‘win’ the lottery? If by chance you may have won something, why are you required to first pay any kind of fee? Anytime you are asked for your banking details, your social security number, your credit card details or debit card details and you are not the one initiating the conversation e g. Through making a purchase, sending funding to someone else, etc., then KNOW THAT IS A SCAM. PROTECT YOUR MONEY, PROTECT YOUR IDENTITY, IT IS ALL WE HAVE. When using the internet always, ALWAYS, make sure you ‘log out’ of any programs you have been using before logging off of or shutting down on the internet. Protect yourself, your identity and your money.
