CABINET NOTES

The Minister of Health reported that not a single case of monkey pox has been found in Antigua and Barbuda.

Several suspicious patients were tested and they have all proved negative, thus far; one more test case remains to be reported, but that too is likely to prove negative.

A pending proposal to purchase monkey pox vaccines was not approved by the Cabinet, at the urging of the Health Minister.

Is this the same info this article is based of?

    Then there’s this?

Antigua and Barbuda confirms one case of monkeypox?

I have a question, is it a 5 year old child writing these articles sometimes? Let me not disrespect any 5 year Olds, some or most can do better I’m sure.

  2. Exactly what is the truth? The post stated that Antigua and Barbuda CONFIRMS one case of monkey pox.
I do not know if my eyes were deceiving me, but when I first opened it I saw the same headline as the post. Then I read the body of the story and went back to look at the headline, since they did not align, and lo and behold the word ‘one’ was now saying ‘no’.
    Is it me?
This is too serious to just glaze over.
If it is an error, or someone being facetious, we need to get the truth.
A joint statement of the facts by the Minister of Health as well as the Chief Medical Officer letting the public be aware. If it is an error or someone being facetious the news organization needs to say so and offer its apologies to the maligned ministry and to the general public. Let us all take responsibility for our actions.
