The Convention Centre at the American University of Antigua (AUA) will be ready for the 4th International Conference of Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), with a capacity of 1,000 seats for the main conference.

Marlon Destin, Associate Vice President of Administration, stated that they are finalizing details like carpeting and expect to finish before the conference dates of May 27 to 30.

The UN has visited the site and is pleased with the progress.

The entire facility, including upgraded car facilities, will be handed over to UN officials on May 26th.

SIDS4, organized by the United Nations, will gather leaders from 39 independent States, 18 Associate Members of UN regional commissions, and global experts to address challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and access to finance.
