The two men accused of unlawfully confining a woman this week were granted bail in the Magistrates Court today.
Twenty-eight-year-old Peter Coipel of Yorks was offered bail to the sum of $50,000 dollars with a cash component of $4,500.
Meanwhile, his alleged accomplice, 27-year-old Clayton Jeffery of Bolans was released on a $20,000 bond with a cash requirement of $2000 in cash.
They each must report to a specified police station three times weekly and surrender all travel documents.
The men allegedly held a 30-year-old female against her will after agreeing to give her a ride in a vehicle on Sunday.
According to police reports, the suspects agreed to take the woman to a nightclub in St. John’s but instead diverted to an area at Side Hill.
