A brush fire scorched several acres of land overnight in the hills above Piccadilly, located in the southeastern section of Antigua. Firefighters from the All Saints Fire Station received the call at 7:10 PM on Tuesday night and promptly responded.

Fire tenders were dispatched, but according to a spokesperson, the fire was burning in the hills and at that time posed no threat to nearby properties. A decision was made to return to the fire station, with someone designated to report if the fire began to approach any property.

“We are on standby,” the spokesperson stated. As of press time, there were no further developments regarding the fire. This incident marks the 52nd fire call for the year for that station.
