NOTICE:

 

“All persons owning/operating any tourism establishment for lodging/accommodation purposes MUST be registered with the MINISTRY OF TOURISM.

 

 

REGISTRATION IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND FOR ALL NEW PROPERTIES.

 

 

The Re-certification exercise commences for all existing properties from December 6th, 2021, throughout January 2022 at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters on Queen Elizabeth Highway or via email ([email protected]) and present the following:

 

  • relevant Tax ID information
  • name of property
  • the owner/s
  • telephone #
  • location
  • accommodation type
  • doctor
  • contact number of the person who will facilitate the inspection/compliance check (if different from owner)

Phase 2 of the re-certification process involves an on-site inspection of the property.

 

 

All holders of a certificate valid until December 31st, 2021 will be granted an extension until January 31st,  2022 or a completed inspection process (whichever comes first).”

  1. It’s a tactic they’re using to force smaller Airbnb owner to register with inland revenue for them to pay tax!! Open your eyes people!

  2. So this in addition to Registration at Intellectual Property, Medical Benefit, Social Security, Education Levy and Inland Revenue. Now, another registration at tourism ? How bout the government just get all the info from Intellectual Property Office ? No wonder we are so low on the Doing Business Report.
