Airport Authority CEO Stanley Smith

Media reports indicate that Antigua Barbuda Airport Authority CEO Stanley Smith has been suspended.

We reached out to Smith who did not respond to our calls or What’s App messages.

Observer Radio reported that Smith is not happy with the terms of his suspension.

It is not certain whether the suspension is in relation to an industrial action embarked on by staff recently.

The ABAA staff are demanding their back pay and salary increases.

Smith was brought into Antigua in 2012 to manage the airport. His contract of employment was renewed in 2015.

    • Say it again loud D’nice. Today, I had to ask God to dumb me on my job when a Jamaican native response to my remarks when I said that I am glad Stanley Smith is gone. The response was that Stanley is qualified and all the qualified Antiguans are overseas.

  1. So why is it the faithful Nationals are protesting and no one is being suspended nor any resignations?
