Air Peace Plans Flights To Antigua & Barbuda This August

17

The carrier has been significantly boosting its operations in 2023 by launching various international routes and adding new aircraft to its fleet.

It is critical to provide air transport services in a region where passenger demand continues to increase.

Flights to Antigua

Air Peace will operate flights from Lagos to Antigua’s V. C Bird International Airport (ANU) on August 5 and 9.

The service will be installed for a limited period to transport passengers looking to attend the Antigua Carnival from July 27 to August 8.

The airline has partnered with Tour Brokers International to offer special holiday packages for the festival.

The flight from Lagos will depart on Wednesday at 16:00 and arrive in Antigua at 20:00 local time, while the return flight leaves Antigua at 12:00, arriving in Lagos at 02:00 local time.

It is unclear which aircraft will be operated on the route, but Air Peace has two B777-300s and one B777-200ER, which it could deploy.

The Antigua Carnival is a grand celebration of music, dance, art, and cultural talent, often described as the Caribbean’s most-electric summer festival.

It is a chance for travelers to enjoy the warmth of the island and the magic of the people and to witness some creative costumes.

The festival has a rich history, dating back to 1834.

Air Peace has been showing significant interest in Antiguan tourism, which it will continue to support with flights to its most significant event.

Earlier this year, the Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister announced a partnership with Air Peace, which will see the Nigerian carrier acquiring a majority stake in the Caribbean national carrier Liat 2020.

Connecting Nigeria with Togo

Air Peace will also launch flights between Lagos Murtala Muhammed International (LOS) and Lomé Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport (LFW) on July 28, offering its customers more destinations in West Africa.

The route will be operated on the 50-seater Embraer 145 at least three times a week.

According to the airline’s ticket booking website, flights from Lagos will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 05:00 local time, arriving in Lomé at 06:00.

The return flight will be operated on the same days, departing Lomé at 06:20 and arriving in Lagos at 07:00 local time.

Air Peace spokesperson Stanley Olisa said to Daily Trust;

“We are expanding our West African presence to strategically connect key cities in the sub-region, ease connectivity for Africans and strengthen commercial ties between countries.”

LOS and LFW are only 145 mi (233 km) apart, making it a convenient connection for the Nigerian airline.

The route is also served by Togo’s Asky Airlines, which operates daily Boeing 737 flights between the two destinations.

Lomé Airport offers connections to various African destinations, so additional capacity on the LOS-LFW route will provide Nigerian passengers with more travel options when flying to Togo and beyond.

    • @Beware

True. That is why the people REJECTED Baldwin Spencer after what JOHN ASHE said about him and $$$ donated to the UPP. You think KICKBACK $$$$ make joke? Dead men tell no more tales, but JOHN ASHE let the world know who Baldwin Spencer/UPP really be.

  3. Nigerian Billionaire making some money with the Antiguan Mafia aka the Government which will benefit the country and bring more African brothers and sisters…Such a pretty Boeing 777-300…

  4. From Air Prank to Air Peace??? No booking info is available??? Nothing here mentions wealthy investors or cultural performers, as our government previously announced. Also no mention of Antigua Airways and the fact that government was duped by another African affiliated airline a mere 7 months ago.

  5. Gaston Browne’s STUBBORNNESS in this situation (and others) will eventually lead to his political downfall.

Don’t worry yourself self my fellow Antiguans.

Slowly but surely this drip, drip drip of destruction to the ABLP will only lead to future long-term glory for opposition parties – including the rise of the DNA.

Yes, we as a nation have to suck it up for the next few years, but a new horizon beckons for Antigua & Barbuda.

REMEMBER WHERE YOU HEARD IT FIRST – GASTON BROWNE’S STUBBORNNESS WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO THIS COUNTRY RISING FROM THE ASHES … LIKE A PHOENIX.

  6. What happened to the cultural performers and the millionaire businessmen? Now it is anybody who can afford the flight including persons who intend to flee illegally to the USA? All the Antigua Airways illegal immigrants paid for their tickets as well. I guess “once bitten, twice shy” does not apply to our Cabinet members.

  7. Tours Broker International is listed as the agency handling the Air Peace flights, but their website is under construction. Red flag #1.
Went to their Instagram and people are asking questions about visas. The are being told to DM for more info. Red Flag #2.
The flyer that is in circulation has no contact or booking info. It also does not address the visa issue either. Red flag #3.
Are we looking at visa free arrivals again? Some thing is definitely up!!!

  8. AND THIS IS WHY BECAUSE OF SLL THE CORRUPTION,MONEY LAUNDERING AND TRAFFICKING … THESE UNEXPLAINED, ALLNOF A SUDDEN AFRICANS WANT TO COME TO ANTIGUA ONE YEAR JUST SO .. AIRLINES NOBODY HAS HEARD OF, ALL OF THIS IS WHY ANTIGUA IS NOT GOING TO GET BACK A US EMBASSY

ANTIGUA ON THE OTHER HAND … CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ..

ThINKING THE WORLD IS NOT LOOKING

  9. You know I have to be honest, but when living in Germany in the 70s, many people never heard about the Caribbean. And I had to go through live as an African. Sometimes I liked it, but there was also a bad stigmatism with Africans. But that is one of Germany’s cruel pasts with racism. Going back to Europe from time to time I am still seen as a African first and then as a black American and only when I declare my origin, they understand that I’m from the beautiful Caribbean Islands.
That is why it is so true what Peter Tosh sung. Don’t care where you come from as long as you’re a black man you’re an African.

    • What does nazi germanies genocide of mainly (white) Jewish people (70 years ago…) has to do with Air Peace ? I see now a days more then 1 million black people living in germany peacefully with eachother. Racism exists in every country and not only against black people. The most racist country by far are the glorious United States of America. The country every African desperately tries to get too…

  10. Thou preachers of Doom and Gloom over this Blessed Nation of ours. Don’t you know that whom God blessed No Man curse. No matter what you say and or do, we will be blessed.
