Participants of the Piango Festival, including agro-processors, are in for added advantages as they’re set to attend a training workshop focusing on key skill areas.

Craig Thomas, National Specialist at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture (IICA), stated that the training, aligned with a United Nations-IICA Women’s project, will cover standards, project development, ICT, social media, food safety, marketing, branding, and labeling.

The workshop, tailored for about twenty female entrepreneurs primarily in agro-processing and five young individuals, aims to enhance their businesses.

Thomas expressed gratitude to private sector sponsors for their role in advancing the agricultural sector through the festival.
