FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Caretaker Senator Dwayne George is pleased to announce that the air conditioning units on the southern wing of Urlings Primary School are now fully operational, following the successful completion of a comprehensive rewiring project for the wing. This critical infrastructure upgrade guarantees a comfortable and conducive learning environment for both students and staff.
As part of a broader commitment to enhance modern facilities within our schools, the Board of Education is also in the process of completing similar upgrades in the northern wing of Urlings Primary School. Although the air conditioning units have already been installed in this area, they are currently awaiting connection to the newly upgraded electrical system, which is expected to be finalized shortly.
Regrettably, misinformation has been circulating regarding the functionality of the air conditioning units in the southern wing, with claims circulating from the Member of Parliament for St. Mary’s South suggesting they are non-operational. These statements are unequivocally false. We are disappointed to see such inaccuracies being shared, especially as they undermine the dedicated efforts of all individuals involved in the school’s infrastructure enhancements.
Senator Dwayne George wishes to reaffirm his commitment to transparency and excellence in education. He urges all community members and representatives to verify facts before making public statements that may mislead the community and hinder our collective progress.
Our focus remains on ensuring the best possible learning environment for the young minds of Urlings Primary School and we appreciate the support of all stakeholders as we continue to advance this goal.

Well Lord!
Honourable Kelvin Simon proved by going personally today to said school to show the people the AC an dem nar work. Ablp told a bare face lie.
Criticism lick the government hard, hard, hard. Well at least there’s some sort of action being done at last!
The “reactionary” ABLP strikes again …
Its telling how comments are closed to the Shuggy article. Hours ago it was open and I am guessing the owners of ANR have closed it because they fear the truth. Shuggy is on tape as stating none of the AC’s are working. After visiting the school he now claims 5 are working. Just can’t happen to believe a man who thinks he can lie with impunity.
Then there was his pointing to the 200K payment. The PM at the very meeting made clear the payment was for mobilisation and the stand has been purchased and is on itts way
here. Clearly Shugy went to the consult to simply make noise and not hear answers
Anyone notice how dirty the white walls are and windows need painting inside the classroom? How are children to function on these unhealthy and dirty environments? The government collects millions of dollars every month for education levey but it’s barely used for education
That picture is a disgrace. How difficult is it to put a maintenance person in charge of cleaning and painting our schools. If this is an example of what our schools look like it no wonder children are developing skin rashes. The government should hang their heads in shame.
😂..hey I see they putting lipstick on a pig.lol.
Look at the condition of that school, and look at the condition of the City of St John’s!
This government should be ashamed of themselves. They claim that Antigua is the fastest growing economy in the region, second to Guyana, but yet they still can’t clean up the place. I’m in Guyana at the moment, and I can tell you that you are seeing a huge improvement with all the oil money coming in. The airport is getting a uplift, the highway from Tehmari to Linden is being widened, they are building recreational parks, locals are building their houses and the markets are buzzing with business. So all this bragging from GB and you still can’t see any improvement to the lives of the people of Antigua.
