**ABS Hires Chanel Imhoff as Producer**
Antigua Broadcasting Service (ABS), the government-owned and controlled media house in Antigua and Barbuda, has recently announced the appointment of Chanel G Imhoff as a Producer.

According to a release from ABS, Imhoff brings a wealth of experience and a diverse background in entrepreneurship, communications, and mental health advocacy to ABS.
Having consulted for local, regional, and international organizations on branding, communications, and design, Imhoff is dedicated to leveraging technology to drive national development and foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Antigua and Barbuda, ABS said.
She is a graduate of the Antigua Girls’ High School and is currently pursuing a Marketing Major at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.
Imhoff’s dedication to her craft has not gone unnoticed. She was selected as a participant in the 2022 Young Leaders of the Americas (YLAI) Initiative, which underscores her commitment to leadership and innovation in her field.

This political bias should not be allowed to continue. There is no equivalent television media outlet in the country for the UPP – and why not?
The ABLP know what they are doing is controlling the political biases. Outrageous!
This is pure ABLP propaganda to hoodwink the GULLIBLE, the UNEDUCATED, and the EASILY LED.
Normally in other democratic coutries, political parties are given equal airtime. However, at the last General Election ABS made it so difficult for UPP’S manifestos and political voices to be heard by the public at large.
Surely this blatant bias cannot continue!
All of the ABLP candidates were given so much airtime at the last General Election, that I was very surprised that the UPP didn’t make a formal complaint.
BUT THEN AGAIN, COMPLAIN TO WHO?
Hopefully, a UPP millionaire supporter(s) will come along and start-up a alternate television channel to rightly challenge the ABS.

I wish her well. Not sure what marketing or the rest of her background has to do with being a t.v. producer? Will she be producing shows with a focus on how people can leverage technology to market products? That might be interesting…
I was thinking the same thing @Congrats so I came up with perhaps her marketing studies will allow her to be innovative on best ways to keep people interested in watching the news. Presenting the news or TV in ways that attract viewers, making people want to subscribe/watch etcetera.
I still would prefer someone who is in the arts. Like drama, television, performing arts etcetera but congratulations and good luck to her still.

Are you kidding me? You say the lady flipped from UPP to DNA to.ABLP? You cannot be serious. On what point of principle did this lady flip three times to finally find her place of solace in the ABLP? It would be interesting to know. This is political (emphasis on political) prostitution on steroids. Antigua is indeed a beautiful but strange place. Yet again, integrity has little or no place in its body politic.

She did not go to State College. She does not have a degree. She is now learning at FIC. What makes her so qualified? Yes, she has some IT experience, and she can talk up a storm. That qualifies her to be a media producer?
As a person that young woman sucks. We who were around her for a while know how she operates. She used to be paid in the UPP for services that others offered free for the good of the Party. She took, took, took, and when there was nothing else to take, she cuss off the UPP and went to more financially green pastures.

I read the queries of her qualifications for the position, and all I can see is that our former and present Prime Minister have never attained a Masters in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, International Relations, Public Health, Education, Criminal Justice or Psychology. The same can be said of former and present Ministers of Parliament, yet here they are.
The lack of qualifications in high positions and office, is one of the main reasons this country is in such a mess.
Furthermore, by Gaston Browne’s recruiting of former UPP members, is without doubt a strategic and wilful act to destabilise and weaken the opposition.
It seems that he and his cabal are now targeting UPP members. The fact that the ABLP are now praising the Honourable Jamale Pringle is a very worrying and sinister development.
IT’S ALL THEY’VE GOT LEFT.
Because, people are still struggling, the economy is in a real mess, and do not forget the rise in crime that the ABLP will not address; so going after the “low hanging fruit” in the next 3-4 years is Browne’s political goal.
If the UPP’S defectors cannot see through the PM’S end game, then good riddance to these Judas’ …
