ABLP will romp home to an impressive victory winning at least 16, if not 17 seats

The writer of this article is obviously a great writer and communicator that I am not equal to. I think the writer is very truthful and on target in his / her characterization of our current Prime Minister, Mr. Gaston Browne, and the leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Mr. Harold Lovell. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP.

But, there is one major factor in the coming election contest that will come against Mr. Lovell’s UPP and in favour Mr. Browne’s ABLP: the fact is that no splintered, fractured or disunited Opposition Groups can win a General Election in Antigua and Barbuda.

This fact was proven in 1971 by Mr. George Herbert Walter who led the Progressive Labour Movement (PLM) to an electoral victory; and, subsequently, proven by Mr. Baldwin Spencer in his 2004 General Election victory.

If you are a student of Politics you will know that Antiguans, and people in most countries, if not all, for that matter, don’t change their votes easily.

The people of Antigua and Barbuda have given victory to a United Opposition on two (2) occasions, as mentioned above. And, they are not going to change the Government unless there is a Single United Opposition in place.

For this reason, I will say that Mr. Harold Lovell, for his failure to unite all the Opposition Forces into a Powerful Coalition, has no chance of becoming the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda: simply put, for his lack of such understanding about our politics, he has made it too easy for Prime Minister Gaston Browne, and his Antigua And Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) to win a Third Term in Office.

My humble assessment about the results of the upcoming General Election is that the Antigua And Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) will romp home to an impressive victory winning at least Sixteen (16), if not Seventeen (17), or all of the seats contested.

So, all this talk about Mr. Harold Lovell and UPP winning anything is just an illusory and childish fancy.

If there is going to be a surprise Opposition Victory it would be a deserving win for the Democratic National Alliance (DNA). Infact, I think a DNA victory is a possibility, but such an event could possibly be only triggered by a Rebellion of the Women of the ABLP.

  1. The same DNA where all of the candidates lost their deposits in 2018? I would certainly like to see the poll numbers on that one.

  2. I THINK YOU ARE SPOT ON….JUST ONE SLIGHT ERROR.

ABLP WILL WIN ALL 18 SEATS, NOT 17, 18, INCLUDING LONG BAY, AND WILLOUGHBY BAY

  3. Tickle my fancy…by the way is 58 more hours before pride month officially ends. #LGBTQ to the World. What have you done in support of pride month?

  4. Papa Jack
I sincerely hope you are wrong. Antigua needs to be liberated from the Labour Party. We need to breathe. We are tired of the corruption and the thievery. We need Antigua to move forward and the labour government can’t do it. They have made beggars of the poor and kept them stupid and dependent on handouts.

  5. Results of 2023 election will be as follows.

    ABLP. 17. Seats

UPP. 00 SEAT ( 10 Candidates will lose deposits)

DNA. 00 SEAT ( ALL CANDIDATES LOSE THEIR DEPOSITS)

    Barbuda. 00. SEAT

    LANDSLIDE ELECTION VICTORY FOR ABLP.

  6. Just imagine this day of age people still a die hard red, yall really been hyponotize in the f#%kery of what’s going on. I am led to believe now yall be getting some under hand deal and you all are for yourselves and not the country, educate one self so you can be independent and not leech on politicians for cheap hand out.

  7. Red is dead .
Only a person a selfish person will support these cult because they are getting handouts.

  8. PAPA JACK, are you back from RWANDA? Gaston Browne, who the hell you think you are fooling.
What happen to: Fitzroy, Nomad, Youth, TRUE Davis. Those are the other names that you use.

  9. This election is getting closer and closer. ABLP is facing an uphill battle. Not paying the local contractors for goods and services will hit back. Then all the road contracts given to one Bajan company who have not used any locally owned and operated equipment. Heavy duty equipment owners this could not happen anywhere else. You need to have a motor Cade , your trucks , backhoes , graders and tractor Trailor and show your power. By the way don’t you guys have an organization. When it’s not Co or Bab worse yet it’s equipment owned and operated by politicians. You guys have the tools use it. UPP you need to galvanize these groups together. All you need is one good moment and this could well be it .
