As part of its ‘Unveiling Hospitality Professionals’ series, the Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) proudly shines a spotlight on Abigail Bynoe, a young and dynamic professional who is making waves in the local hospitality industry. Her journey is a testament to the growing role of youth in shaping the future of tourism in Antigua and Barbuda.

Abigail joined The Escape at Nonsuch Bay in 2021, starting her career in the Reservations Department. From the outset, her dedication and talent stood out, leading to her swift transition into the resort’s Marketing and Sales Team. In this role, she oversees the company’s online social media presence and contributes to its web design, using her keen eye for detail and creativity to elevate the resort’s digital presence.

While excelling at work, Abigail also pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of the West Indies (Open Campus), graduating with first-class honors. She received her educational foundation at the Antigua & Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute, which equipped her with the skills and knowledge that have become the backbone of her successful career in the industry. Balancing her studies with professional responsibilities demonstrated her impressive time management skills and deep commitment to both her career and education.

Despite her focus on marketing and sales, Abigail has proven her adaptability by stepping in to assist with front-of-house operations when needed. Her willingness to go beyond her comfort zone and support her colleagues in various roles reflects her strong teamwork ethos and dedication to the resort’s overall success.

Abigail’s remarkable organizational skills and drive for continuous improvement ensure that she consistently delivers excellence in her work. Known for her attention to detail and determination to exceed expectations, she exemplifies the resilience and passion of Antigua and Barbuda’s young professionals.
