A TRIBUTE TO MY GODMOTHER – KAREN CONSTANT…..

Goddie Karen, I have known for many years,
She was like a sister, to my mum;
As good friends, they spent great times together.
It was just a special bond they had.

My mum developed great confidence in her
So, she was chosen to be my Godmother.
The impeccable qualities that Goddie displayed
I could not desire better.

I remember that day when I got the news, that Goddie Karen passed away;
I was terribly shocked, and refused to believe,
Even up to this very day.
(4)
Certainly, Goddie Karen will not be forgotten,
Bcuz she has engraved herself in my heart.
Her infectious smile, her beauty and kindness
Has left memories, that will never depart.

So Goddie Karen, as you are now on your way, to be laid to rest,
Tears are flowing from my eye.
I have to admit that I am still in pain & in denial
So it is difficult ….. to say goodbye.

But, I will certainly accept, in times like this,
our good Lord knows what is best;
He tend to put us through some trying times
To make us stronger for any test.

So Goddie Karen, I will finally say…
Without you, life, will no longer be the same.
Sleep in peace Goddie & may your soul find eternal rest
Until some day in glory, I hope we will meet again.
