Concept for Marina in Parham

Rawdon Turner has unveiled an ambitious plan to transform Parham Harbour into a thriving marina, a project set to boost economic opportunities for St. Peter.

The proposed Parham Marina Project will be executed in phases, starting with a gas station owned collectively by local residents.

“This marina isn’t just about infrastructure; it’s about community ownership and long-term benefits,” Turner stated.

The second phase will include berths and moorings, aiming to establish Parham as a hub for maritime activity.

The initiative promises job creation and economic growth through vessel servicing and related businesses.

  1. Ok so turner financiers and handlers st jumby bay want put mariner in Pahram and take over the waterfront with security guards, because those poor fishermen presently don’t occupy the one that is there for the few rich whites with their mega yachts it’s a enclave for the higher ups.

  2. Ok so turner financiers and handlers at jumby bay want put mariner in Pahram for their convenient logistics and take over the waterfront with security guards, because those poor fishermen presently don’t occupy the one that is there for the few rich whites with their mega yachts it’s a enclave for the higher ups.

  3. A Boat the draws more the 5 feet cant get into that area in Parham, thats facts it too shallow for big boats. This will only be for small boats , sport fishers, pirauge and local fishing boats. So this is a good for the small boats. Its not gonna be jumby bay people going there .. ITs going to be local people. That is a positive .

  4. Why are Eldread and these other UPP people always so negative? No wonder they can’t get their party together. Negativity only breeds more negativity.

Many modern sailing yachts even up to medium size have a shallow keel design. And there are many luxury motored yachts which are designed for exploring skinny waters.

Why can’t these UPP coolaid drinkers just be happy for the development and the fact that community investment is being facilitated in the fueling operations.

    Just SMH!

  5. @ James Brown, please enlighten the ignorant Eldread. Eldread, you’re too dread to be red, stay with the blue, they’re as dumb as you.
A fool can only look like a fool until he opens his mouth and proves it!

  6. These politicians are something else, Turner is making all sorts of grandiose promises, how come he did not think of them in the general election when he was trying to get out Asot, funny thing the Lickspittle Brigade will buy his bull***t

  7. The stree will be paved with gold and manner will be falling from heaven. Just like in st Mary’s south, all work will come to a stop after Tuesday.
The sad reality is people continue to put up with things only being done in their constituency by the ALP cabol,if an election is in the air.

  8. @leadership matters; identity politics is deleterious, so cool aid as you call it is not my ideology, both upp and ALP are by nature catering to political centrism, none will be revolutionary on our behalf as former slaves, and presently the upp present leader Pringle don’t have the institutional knowledge or historical capacity to lead this country, and neither Gaston brown, that’s why you hear all this land quest for white monopoly capital domination in Barbuda with PLH and others, the time we elect who we thought was brilliant they become diametrically opposed to the people who elected them as the colonial master, they are like a coconut brown outside and white inside, the upp and ALP functioning under the Westminster politics won’t empower black people, it cater to white foreign investors, that’s why a bit of socialism creeps into the function of government to empower the people, the upp small business development during it’s tenure in office where you see Donna hotel was developed and other heavy duty equipment company was made possible by the Hon Baldwin Spencer, so far now Gaston talk a good talk but he move the gold post to keep it far from ordinary citizens, only political connections prospers and families, if he was sincere he would offer opportunity, what is achieved during Baldwin Spencer time of empowering the people, that he Gaston got his projects incentives under upp administration and they even rented his building at Jennings to house APUA office, today he Gaston go all the way and gave himself all government contracts and lands, the opposition wether it’s UPP or PLM has always done better for the country, and VC Bird in the early years did great, but presently now upp need to find a leader for their party or else we will end UPP with a merchant politicians like Gaston brown who just sell out the countries lands and passport and other economic resources.

  9. Every election the ALP rolls out this anansi story in Parham, but after 60 years in office, bird people in Parham still waiting. Time for change in Parham.
