A Call to Repentance and Restoration: Antigua Unites in Prayer A Historic Gathering

In a powerful display of unity and devotion, Antigua’s Christian community came together for a time of prayer and repentance at the Rising Sun Ground.

This impactful event, organized by A.R.K Restoration Ministries, drew pastors from diverse denominations, all sharing a common goal: to cry out to God on behalf of the nation.

A Time for Humility
Inspired by the biblical call to repentance, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble

themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14), the gathering emphasized the importance of humility and collective prayer.

United in Prayer
Pastor Donald Smith from Florida joined forces with local pastors to lead the prayer initiative. This collaborative effort demonstrated the power of unity in the face of adversity, as participants prayed fervently for:

-Government leaders: The Governor General, Prime Minister, Opposition MPs, Cabinet and parliament members.

  • Families: Parents, children and relationships.
  • National restoration: Seeking God’s guidance, healing and protection for Antigua.

Pray Antigua for Jesus
This rallying cry became the heartbeat of the event, as participants passionately prayed for the nation’s spiritual awakening. The gathering served as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of collective prayer and the

importance of seeking divine guidance in times of challenge.

  1. Hope there will be respect for all and we can respect each other’s point of view and desist from the nasty rhetoric

  2. Prayer always needed, but repentance need action too. We cyan pray and still do wrong.

  3. These church folks are always working for the master to control the slaves, everytime the ALP is in trouble plenty so call church which are just business place comes out to create this benign atmosphere over the nation to stabilize the politicians in power, during the vere bird guns to Colombia the same thing was done so that the people don’t overthrow ALP government. These pastors must be on Gaston payroll now.this is a full state capture.

  4. Key takeaway:……….
    Hmmmmmmm!!!!!
If Jesus was passing by at the time he would have slapped the hypocrisy out of some so called pastors.
Under immense pressure and accusations of corruption…… did the PM confess?
Did the opposition leader make himself a j@c€@$s like he did last year hugging and kissing on stage?
Do the organizers of this even live in Antigua?
Have they not heard the many calls for good governance, honesty in public utterances, morality in family life and care and concern for the leas fortunate?
If they haven’t what has kept them so busy?
If they have what have they said or and done about the social injustices the people face?
It seems they believe that Jesus would come on easter Sunday and escorts them into His Holy of Holies.
The do not seem to understand that the after life that they preach and yearn for starts with the life they live here.
None of Jesus’s followers when he walked this earth were hypocrite.
    They were politicians.
They spoke out against social and moral and spiritual ills.
Do we have pastors doing that today?
    No.
They find comfort in bed with the ungodly and help in worsening the sufferings of their congregation.
    I am not the purest.
However the less I hear from politicians, police and preachers calling for unity the better days I have.

  5. It must be done twice a month. The world is getting colder colder ever day. Antigua and Barbuda is apart of the world too. I rather man speak than God.remember God is no respecter of persons…too much evil…
