Earlier today, a tragic incident occurred on Sir Sydney Walling Highway resulting in a collision between a truck and a bus, leaving seven people injured and requiring hospitalization.
According to the police, the truck driver was traveling west and lost control while overtaking, causing a head-on collision with the bus traveling in the opposite direction.
The bus driver sustained severe leg injuries and is presently receiving treatment at the hospital.
The police have appealed to all drivers to comply with traffic rules and regulations to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.

It is because people are not adhering to what is being said over and over again that these incidents take place. We have to keep on preaching it and hope that it will eventually stick.

Based on the story,that accident was avoidable. I have been ran off the roads in Antigua. Drivers over taking multiple cars on the Highway going up to the old Sugar Factory. Driving in Antigua is very dangerous. I do hope all of those injured recovered 100%.Antigua is 108 sq miles.There is not one place in Antigua too far away.
I wish some police could be placed in Swetes in the mornings and nights the speeding on Fig Tree Drive and Swetes Main Road to Buckleys road is ridiculous
