55 Pounds of Cannabis Seized at Ports of Entry

The Police Narcotics and Customs Departments seized a total of 55 pounds cannabis at the Deep Water Harbour and the V.C Bird International on Wednesday 15 March.

Both agencies conducted two separate joint drug operations at the Deep Water Harbour and found a total of 35 pounds of cannabis in two separate shipments. Both seizures are estimated to value a combine $230,000.

A similar operation was carried out at the airport and another 20 pounds with a street value of $120,000 was also discovered.

The controlled substances were take to the police station as further investgations continue. Two men are currently assisting with the investigations.

  2. Why bother to mention it when are you not arresting any body. Are you just telling the owner of the drugs that the shipment arrived safely?
