Over four hundred applications have been received for enrollment into the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus, Prime Minister Gaston Browne has said.
The campus is less than a year old and Browne told Pointe FM today that he is pleasantly surprised by the growth of the Antigua Campus.
The Prime Minister did not say how many overall applications were received by the UWI’s fourth landed campus.
He predicts that in coming years, the University will attract over 10 thousand students.
Browne has called on people in the Five Islands community to prepare for the growth that will take place in the community where the university is based.
