The United Progressive Party (UPP) has unveiled a series of fundraising events as the organization celebrates its 30th Anniversary Year under the theme “30 Years and UPPwards.”
On Sunday June 4th, the UPP will host the “30 for 30 Moonlight Walk.” The 3-mile walk will begin and end at Rising Sun Grounds. The walk will move off promptly at 7pm and participants of all ages are welcome to complete the walk at their own pace.
“After 30 years the UPP remains united and strong. Together, we will walk in the light as a united front celebrating 30 years of putting “people first.” We will honor the contributions of our founders who have passed, celebrate the party’s rich history and our transition and growth throughout three decades of service to the people,” said former Prime Minister, Dr Winston Baldwin Spencer, one of the Party’s Founding Members.
“After 100+ days of darkness and destruction, it is clear that the ABLP administration is on the wrong track and is the wrong choice for Antigua and Barbuda. Whether you’re a party supporter or a well wisher, you have the power to make a difference and to contribute to the movement of change that this country needs and the people deserve. Let’s walk in the light and demand a better quality of life for all Antiguans and Barbudans,” said Hon. Jamale Pringle, Political Leader of the UPP.
This unique moonlight experience will connect family, friends, and fellow supporters of the UPP. Some 30 prizes will be awarded to the participants for their achievements, as well as the best moonlight photos and UPP memories. There will be refreshments on sale and entertainment along the route.
The registration fee is $30. Proceeds will benefit Progressive Radio, the Voice of the UPP. Tickets are available at the Radio Station, Party Secretariat, Branches, Executive and Members. For more information Tel: 462-1818.
