Meanwhile, the Ministry has decided to make an amendment to the vaccinated column of the dashboard in order to capture the number of fully vaccinated individuals in comparison to the partially vaccinated.  This is to ensure that when Antigua and Barbuda begins administering vaccines that only require one dose in order to be considered as fully vaccinated,  that it is accurately reflected on the dashboard.

Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated thirty one thousand four hundred and fourteen (31,414) individuals while seven thousand three hundred and one (7,301) have only received their first dose.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. When your neighbors houses are burning down. Get warta and wet fu you. I did read where some of your Leaders. Were boasting about zero cases in Antigua for some weeks. They were grinning from ears to ears. Pointing fingers at the likes of BVI,Barbados and St.Kitts. So what has gone wrong, now? There are 74 known cases of Covid-19 in Antigua at this time. I do believed there are more. Getting the Vaccine is a good thing. It does not prevent you from getting the Virus. It helps if you got sick from the Virus. From being drastically ill and possible hospitalizations. So like I did say. When your Neighbors houses are burning down, wet yours.

  2. Many places in the world are begging for vaccines. Antigua is so fortunate to have that opportunity, and yet the majority of people here are refusing to be vaccinated. I understand why people are afraid, there is real fear of the unknown and not knowing who to believe or trust, and much of this fear is stoked by misinformation and conspiracy theorists.
Before considering vaccine information on the Internet, check that the information comes from a credible source and is updated on a regular basis. Is the web content researched, written and approved by experts, including physicians, researchers, epidemiologists, and analysts? Is the content based on peer-reviewed science? Same with the news outlets you follow. Are they credible? Do the research and I’m certain you will come to the conclusion that getting vaccinated is the best way forward, to get us out of this mess, to protect your health and the health of your neighbors, to save our community, to get our lives and freedom back. Do the right thing, please get vaccinated.

Who’s betting high alert travel & health advisories are placed on A&B from USA/UK/Europe in short order?
We need to cure what ails our psyche & our bodies.

  4. So here we are again. The government is going to have to lockdown again. They and their business masters wanted the tourists back and fought against lockdowns. The trumpers and conspiracy nuts, backed by the same business interests, took their cue from the government and demanded their “right” to infect other members of the public. Lockdown is the only solution now, although the government will of course resist it until the numbers here are way out of control. What will it it take do you think, 100s, or 1000s, to be infected before they lockdown?
