(Dashboard Update for February 18, 2021)
The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) has revealed twenty-three (23) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Wednesday 17th February 2021.
Of the one hundred and fifteen (115) samples processed by MSJMC, ninety-one (91) were negative and twenty-four (24) positive. One (1) of the positive cases was a repeat test. Investigations have begun and contact tracing and testing are ongoing.
One (1) recovery has been recorded bringing the total to two hundred and fourteen (214).
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is five hundred and forty-eight (548); which is inclusive three hundred and twenty-four (324) active cases.
Meanwhile, one hundred and sixty-six (166) samples are pending.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

Hospitalized: 36 ( Is this figure an overall of the total number of persons who have been hospitalized thus far ) Or is it specific to the present dashboard ?
Government quarantine : 51
Home (self) quarantine: 35 Total” 86
The questions are: 1. Do you have persons who are known positive cases in home quarantine ?
If so..that would certainly be pure madness!
2. Does the quarantine refer only to persons who are tested positive ?
( Since the policy is such that everyone who comes into the nation has to be quarantined for 2 weeks…..whether being negative or positive )
Proper explanation must be given for the data presented on the dashboard. It is misleading.

There is no pleaseing you people is there. If they give the vaccine to the general public first you would still complain. If they did not bring the vaccine here you would still complain. They close the island you complain. They open the island you complain. That is all we do in Antigua complain but offer no solution. That is what sick my stomach.
Can someone please answer …. What is this ? This dashboard is saying that they have had home quarantined patients for a while now and nunber had not reduced. How do u know these people Are positive or negative so u can know where to place them on the board ? Whats going on. All of a sudden cases beyond cases. Just the other day all the bars opened Christmas eve corked no cases. Stores filled with people . no cases not even one . where all these coming from . please people stop lying to us. Stop it
The R-rate is out of control. There is only one solution and that is to have a shut down for at least a month. Antiguan people WILL survive because there is CARE for each other. A need to look after each other is vital. People who have money are leaving. You must protect yourselves. No part time residents are going to help. They just leave, sailing or flying away. Be kind and generous with each other. Keep safe, share, and get any vaccine available. Remember the vaccine does not have any protection for 3 weeks so you still need to be careful. Did anyone hear that desperate man on 911 this morning. He was gasping at straws, trying to sound relevant. HWFL, we all acknowledge what the PM did optically leaves a lot to be desired. MOVE ON. If it did happen then it done happen. Why you keep on harping over it. Would it prevent you from catching covid?
