Royal Caribbean Cruises is preparing for the arrival of its inaugural Oasis Class ship in the county on January 2nd, 2024, marking a significant milestone.
The Tourism Authority’s CEO, Colin James, highlighted the importance of ensuring the destination’s readiness to welcome these larger ships, as they require a substantial clearance of at least 45 meters on each side to safely dock.
Representatives from the cruise lines are expected to assess the infrastructure and conditions for a smooth arrival.
James also praised the expanded ferry service originating from Montserrat and Guadeloupe and discussed the upcoming influx of visitors for events, including the SIDS conference in the coming year.
