Two 19-year-old teenagers, Millique London from Barnes Hill and Saquimi Christian from Ottos, have been jointly charged by the police for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The charges include possessing five rounds of .380 ammunition and two rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The arrests took place shortly before 2:30 on Tuesday morning when law enforcement officers found a 9mm pistol and the ammunition inside a vehicle on Newgate Street during a stop and search operation.
The teenagers will appear before the Magistrate’s Court.
