19 new cases of COVID-19

(Dashboard Update for March 6, 2021)

 

 

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed nineteen (19) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Thursday 4th March 2021 at 6pm.

 

 

Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard for Wednesday 3rd March 2021 with the cut off time of 6pm, ninety-eight (98) additional samples were processed at MSJMC increasing the pending results from one hundred and twenty-one (121) to two hundred and nineteen (219) in total.

 

 

Of the ninety-eight (98) samples processed by MSJMC, ninety-three (93) were negative and five (5) positive.  Two (2) of these positive cases were repeat tests.

 

 

Of the one hundred and twenty-one (121) samples sent to CARPHA, one hundred and two (102) were negative and nineteen (19) positive. Three (3) of these positive cases were repeat tests.

 

 

All nineteen (19) newly confirmed positive cases are non-imported.

 

 

Meanwhile, fifty-five (55) recoveries have been recorded bringing the total to four hundred and ten (410).

 

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is eight hundred and thirty-two (832); which is inclusive of four hundred and one (401) active cases.

 

 

Meanwhile, one hundred and ninety-five (195) samples are pending.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
