16 new cases of COVID-19

(Dashboard Update for October 22, 2021)

 

 

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health revealed sixteen (16) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Thursday 21st October 2021 at 6pm.

 

 

One hundred and ten (110) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and seventy-seven (77) at CARPHA.

 

 

Seventy-eight (78) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to three thousand four hundred and thirty (3,430).

 

 

Two (2) Covid-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the total to ninety-nine (99).

 

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is four thousand and ten (4,010); which is inclusive of four hundred and eightt-one 481) active cases.

 

There are twenty-two (22) hospitalized cases; fourteen (14) mild, four (4) moderate and four (4) severe.

 

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated forty eight thousand seven hundred and ninety-seven(48,797) individuals while six thousand nine hundred and six (6,906) have only received their first dose.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. Looks like the vaccination uptake has slowed to a near stop. I guess those who were taking the vaccine under the government worker mandate has been completed. Private sector unvaccinated workers are still refusing the vaccine as there is no mandate. Gaston, take the next steps please. Let’s get to 80k vaccinated.
